What a dynamic QR code actually is
A normal QR code has its content baked into the pattern. Print a price list as a QR and the price is inside the ink — change it and every sticker is wrong.
A dynamic QR code encodes a short permanent address instead, like rasilifestyle.com/q/business-8. The content lives in a database behind that address. Edit it at nine in the morning and every code already printed, stuck and distributed shows the new version at one minute past. That is the entire product, and it is why the codes carry a yearly fee rather than being a one-off download.

Check digits are calculated for you, GS1 magnification is checked against the permitted 80–200% range so a supermarket scanner will accept the result, and output is vector SVG or PDF for print plus 600 DPI PNG where a printer insists on a raster image. Common questions
- Do I need a GS1 number to print an EAN-13 barcode?
- Not for internal use, warehouse tracking, your own shop or your own delivery route — any valid number works and we generate the image to full specification, free. You need a GTIN prefix licensed from GS1 India only when selling through organised retail or large marketplaces, because those retailers will only load a number registered to your company. We are the printer; GS1 is the registrar.
- Is my product data uploaded anywhere?
- No. Barcodes render entirely in your browser using a self-hosted engine, so a product list or CSV never leaves your device. Only dynamic QR codes store content on our server, because storing it is precisely what makes them editable after printing.
- What happens to printed codes if I stop paying?
- They are paused, never deleted. A visitor scanning a paused code sees a short, calm message saying the page is temporarily unavailable and that the printed code still works. The moment payment resumes, every code goes live again with its full scan history intact.
- Can I put my logo in the middle of a QR code?
- Yes. Codes are generated at error-correction level H, which reconstructs up to 30% of a damaged or covered pattern, so a centre logo does not stop the code scanning. You can also set the colours, the module and corner shapes, and export as vector SVG so it stays sharp on a banner.
- Will the codes work offline or after your website changes?
- A barcode is a picture and works forever with no internet. A dynamic QR code needs our server to resolve, which is exactly what lets you edit it — that is the trade you are making, and it is why the short address behind it never changes.
